Difference between hiking and trekking
Hiking and trekking are considered the same and frequently used as interchangeable terms because of the similarity of nature. Both are outdoor activities and used to visit nature from outside of the home. But there is a noticeable difference between hiking and trekking. - How much food you’re going to eat
Though planning is the key component of a successful journey. Backpacking is not a job and it does not mean to beat 9 to 5 job schedules. One of the greatest things about a backpacking trip is just allowing yourself the freedom to do what you want to do. Try to do the things in a flow and enjoy the side by side adventure. When you allow the freedom of not following the tight schedules, you will surely have some advantages.
When it comes to planning for food lot of folks, you know want to send themselves packages the whole way and already have their food with them. There is no precise rule to decide what food packages you should follow. Let me ask you, do you know what to eat for dinner three weeks and two nights from now? I am not sure about myself. Don’t limit yourself to a certain circle and let enjoy every moment of your adventure.
Wearing cotton clothes
One of the serious mistakes, when you are scheduling for the trail, is the use of cotton clothing, especially, the socks. If you are wearing cotton clothing you get it wet early and it loses all of its insulation value. A soaked wet fabric in the cold will get you to die from hypothermia. For ultimate hiking always go for synthetic clothing or wool or a wool blend especially socks. This can be something like an athletic tee and wearing pants should also synthetic.
Those are probably the most common mistakes made by beginning backpackers for hiking. There is no hard and fast rule to deploy a specific strategy to tackle because of different conditions for different activities. Carrying unnecessary stuff, inappropriate hiking shoes, excessive food supplies, over planning the trip, and cotton keels are some of the common errors of hiking for beginners. There is a certainty that you find plenty of other errors that can be made. I think the important thing to remember is the way you learn from others.
